Outreach
Volunteering at Events
The Titans regularly step up to volunteer at high-level FIRST competitions across the region. From mentoring and judging at the Connecticut FLL State Championship to helping run the massive New England Premier Event (NEPE) for FTC, our team loves giving back. Whether we are resetting fields, queuing teams, or refereeing, we are proud to help create an exciting, seamless tournament experience for FLL and FTC students alike.
Mentoring Teams
The Titans actively mentor a wide network of local youth robotics teams, including multiple LEGO robotics and FIRST LEGO League (FLL) teams. We love helping these younger students spark their passion for STEM and learn engineering fundamentals. Additionally, we are proud to support and collaborate with a fellow FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team, sharing resources, strategies, and technical insights to help our peer community succeed.
Doing Demos
We love bringing the excitement of STEM directly to the public! The Titans regularly host live robotics demonstrations at local fairs, community events, and youth activities. By giving kids and families hands-on opportunities to drive our robots, ask questions, and see engineering in action, we hope to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of creators and problem solvers.
Running a Summer Camp
Every year, we host a fun and interactive 4-week summer camp designed to introduce young children to the world of STEM and robotics! Through hands-on building challenges and teamwork activities, we love helping kids discover the joy of engineering early on. Best of all, the camp registration fees go directly back into our program, helping us fund the parts, tools, and materials we need for our upcoming competition season.
Science Night
Once a month, our team hosts a lively "Science Night" at the local library for younger children. We design and run interactive, hands-on activities that introduce kids to basic scientific principles in a fun, approachable way. It’s one of our favorite recurring events, letting us share our passion for discovery and build curiosity in our community month after month.
Leading Events
The Titans host and coordinate our own signature events designed to engage both younger and older kids in hands-on STEM challenges. From organizing friendly local scrimmages to running larger community-wide robotics showcases, we take pride in creating environments where students of all ages can test their designs, collaborate, and grow.
