38828 Ctrl + Alt + Defeat

Ctrl + Alt + Defeat is an FTC team located in Mayfield, Ohio with a focus on intermediate and causal robotics. We are one of three teams that operates out of the Mayfield Schools, with our sister teams being 30334 "Blood Sweat and Gears" and 38829 "Under Construction". Although this is our rookie season, many of the team members and captains have been doing FTC for years either on Blood Sweat and Gears or other FTC teams around the state & even country; and those who haven't done FTC before are highly curious individuals being carefully taught & mentored by more experienced members. That way everyone gets a fair chance at learning robotics and FTC. This puts us in a particularly unique situation, giving us the time and resources to mentor newer participants, before (if they choose), moving them up onto the more advanced team. Participants of any of our teams learn STEM through a highly interactive and hands on medium. From conceptualizing an idea, to CADing it, to building, to programming, to competing, and eventually writing about it in our engineering portfolio - and all the hurdles in between - FTC and our team is much more than simply "building a robot", it's about the process, the struggles, and iteration to get us to where we are today.
