How do I invite members?

On the Members page, click Add member and pick one of four ways in: an email invite, a placeholder with no account, a spreadsheet import, or the team's join link.
You need: Owner, or a role with Invite & add members (Manager has it by default)
Open the Add member menu
Go to Members and click Add member. On a phone it's the round button in the corner. You'll see four options.

Email invite
Enter an address, choose Member, Alumni or Coach/Mentor, then click Send invite. The invite only works for that email address, and the link lasts 30 days.
Placeholders
A placeholder can be assigned tasks and marked at meetings like anyone else, but can't sign in, get notifications or set their own privacy. When they're ready, use Invite on their row to email them, or copy their personal join link and send it however you like. Whoever accepts takes the placeholder over, work and all.
If you have several placeholders with no invite yet, the Placeholders panel shows an Invite all button so you can enter every email in one go.
Spreadsheet import
Paste rows or upload a CSV, then say which columns hold names, emails and grades. Leave Send invite emails now on to invite everyone with an address straight away. You can import up to 500 rows at a time, and anyone already on the roster is skipped.
Join link and join code
Your team's join link ends in an 8-character join code. Copy either one from the menu under your team name at the top of the sidebar (Copy invite link or Copy join code), or from Share a join link in Add member. People can open the link, or type the code at /join-group.
Regenerate makes a new code and stops the old link working. If you'd like to check people before they get in, switch the link to Approval required.
