How do I publish our team website?
Last verified October 18, 2026
Create the site from the Team website box on your Profile page, build it in the editor, then press Publish in the editor's top right corner. Every new site starts as a draft that only your team can open.
You need: A verified team. Creating the site needs "Manage the public profile"; publishing needs "Edit site pages".
Create the site
Your team needs to be verified before it can have a website. Once it is:
- In Team Management, open Reach > Profile.
- Scroll to the Team website box.
- Under Choose a name for your team's website, type a short name. It becomes the address,
robolyst.org/team-sites/your-name. - Click Create website. The editor opens.
If the name is already used by another team, you'll see "That name is taken. Try another." If your team already has a donation link, the name is fixed to match it so shared links keep working.
Drafts
A new site is a draft. You'll see a grey Draft label next to the publish button. While it's a draft:
- Team members who open the address land in the editor.
- Everyone else is sent to robolyst.org.
- The Contact button on your Robolyst team page won't point to it yet.
Use Preview above the canvas to see the page without the editing controls. The Desktop, Tablet and Phone buttons change the preview width.
Publish
- Open Reach > Website.
- Click Publish in the top right.
The label changes to Live and a View site button appears. Anyone with the link can now visit.
Unpublish
Click Live, then Unpublish site, and confirm. Visitors are sent to robolyst.org and search engines stop being told about the site. Nothing you built is deleted, so you can publish again whenever you want.
Good to know
- The editor needs a tablet or a bigger screen. On a phone you'll be asked to switch devices.
- Members without "Edit site pages" can open the editor in view-only mode.
- Changes save on their own as you edit. The header shows Saving… and then Saved.
