Can I leave a team or delete my account?
Last verified October 18, 2026
Yes. Leave a team from the menu under your team name, with Leave Team. Delete your whole account from the Delete account panel on your Account page, then confirm with the link we email you. If you're the only Owner of a team with other people on it, hand over ownership first.
Leave a team
- Click your team name at the top of the sidebar.
- Click Leave Team, then Leave Team again to confirm.
You lose access to that team's tasks, schedule and finances straight away, and you'd need a new invite to come back. Any roles you held there are removed too. If you're on other teams, you stay on them.
If you're the team's only Owner, you'll see "You are the only owner. Promote another member to owner before leaving." Make someone else an Owner first.
Delete your account
- Open your Account page.
- In the Delete account panel, click Delete my account.
- Check your email and open the link. Your account is only deleted when you open it.
Deleting can't be undone. It removes your account, every way you sign in, and everything only you can see.
What you made for your team stays where it is with your name taken off it, for example tasks, expenses, scouting and documentation. You're also taken off any task you were assigned and any meeting you were invited to.
When deleting is blocked
If you own a team that still has other active members, the panel says: "You own a team that still has other members. Make someone else an owner from the members page, then delete your account." Placeholders and archived members don't count toward this.
Leaving vs deleting
| Leave a team | Delete account | |
|---|---|---|
| Your other teams | Unchanged | You leave all of them |
| Your sign-in | Still works | Gone |
| Your work on the team | Stays | Stays, without your name |
| Can be undone | Rejoin with a new invite | No |
