- How do task statuses and the kanban board work? Each status your team defines becomes a column on the Tasks kanban board, and dragging a card to another column changes its status. Statuses marked Done count toward completion; statuses marked Cancelled are left out of the percentage.
- How do task dependencies work? A dependency says one task has to finish before another can start. The waiting task shows as Blocked until the task it depends on reaches a Done status, and the link is drawn as an arrow on the Gantt view.
- How do task due dates and times work? A task's due date can carry an optional time. If you only set a date, the task turns late at your team's default due time (11:59 PM unless changed) in the team time zone, both set under Settings, then General.
- How do saved views work? A saved view stores your current filters, search, sort and grouping on Tasks or Documentation under a name, so you can get back to them in one click. Views are personal by default, and people with the page's manage permission can share one with the whole team.
- How do I link tasks to a meeting agenda? Open the event on the Schedule and use its Task agenda section to add a new action item or pull in an existing task. Linked tasks show on the event with a checkbox, and each task shows the meeting it came from.
- How do I create a recurring meeting, and cancel just one? When adding an event on the Schedule, tick Repeats weekly and pick an Until date. To call off one week, open that week's event, click Cancel and choose This event only. The rest of the series stays on.
- How do RSVP modes work? Every event has one of three RSVP modes. No RSVP asks nothing, Can't make it only assumes everyone is coming and lets people opt out with a reason, and Full RSVP asks for going, maybe or not going.
- What's the difference between RSVP and attendance? An RSVP is what a member says they'll do before an event. Attendance (the register) is what a lead records actually happened. They're stored side by side, and a lead's mark always wins.
- How do FTC competitions get onto our schedule? If your team number is set, Robolyst pulls the events your team is registered for from FIRST and adds them to the Schedule as competitions. You can also add any other upcoming event by searching for it under Add event, then Comp.
- How do I add our schedule to Google or Apple Calendar? On the Schedule page, click the settings (gear) icon to open My calendar, then choose Google Calendar, Apple / Outlook, or Copy link. You subscribe once and the team schedule keeps itself up to date in your calendar app.
- How do I import another calendar feed? Open the calendar subscription settings on the Schedule page, click Bring in a calendar, paste an .ics link and choose to copy the events once or keep them synced. Synced events update hourly and are read-only in Robolyst.
- "Templates vs runs: how do checklists work?" A template is the reusable list, like Pit Setup. A run is one team-wide pass through it with its own checkboxes, started by hand or automatically before an event or match. Finished runs go to the Run log.
